2023 Society for the Environment Awards
As of February 7, the Society for the Environment (SocEnv) is welcoming nominations for the 2023 edition of the prestigious SocEnv Awards. Nominations for the Environmental Professional of the Year and Registrant Newcomer of the Year awards will be open until 09:00 BST on Tuesday 11th April.
The 2023 SocEnv Awards will recognise outstanding achievements of registered environmental professionals. It is your chance to inspire the next generation, to recognise the skills of your peers and to remind one another why we're here, doing what we do and striving every day to make a difference to the environment.
Nominees for both awards must be registered as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) or Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech). However, nominations can be submitted by anyone, including self-nominations.

[edit] About
Operating under a Royal Charter, the Society for the Environment, supported by its Member Bodies, is the body responsible for championing and registering professionals with proven competence in their environmental work. We are the custodian of three professional registrations:
- Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv)
- Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP)
- Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech)
Working as a partnership with our Licensed Members, we ensure the quality, relevance and awareness of our registrations and enable our partners and registrants to work together. We are in a unique position, bringing together a range of disciplines and sectors to reflect the multi-disciplinary practice of environmental professionals.
We have registered over 10,000 environmental professionals to date and new registrants are continuing to join the register year on year. The Society has also recognised exceptional contributions of over 70 individuals as Honorary Fellows of the Society for the Environment (HonFSE).
